The Project
DataCentral.ag is an effort to assist the Farm Credit System in thinking through and defining the possible value to creating a central capability to better leverage data and AI to help all members of the system. Much like other industries, including the traditional banking industry, we are working with centralized entities to provide various areas of high value through data collaboration.
This is a ongoing three stage process:
Stage One (completed)
Three ThinkTanks were facilitated that a majority of organizations in the system attended. The goal was to generate discussions on the potential problems to be solved, value that could be generated by partnering together, and to create use case ideas with better data and AI collaboration and interoperability.
Stage Two (completed)
Deemed the ‘Design Stage’, participating entities from across the System worked together to create a detailed design blueprint for what DataCentral.ag would look like as an entity or concerted effort. A extensive document was developed to guide the possible “go live” efforts of the DataCentral.ag concept.
Stage Three (pending)
This phase will create business plan options that give system leaders an ability to decide on how DataCentral.ag can be brought to life. During the Design Stage the team agreed to form a steering committee made up of representatives from across the system to temporarily guide the Business Plan stage and prepare FCS entities to determine the number of entities that would be interested in moving forward with DataCentral.ag
